We Build & Create
Built a learning center for orphans in Indonesia. When called upon to help, we will pay the contractors directly to make sure 100% of our contribution goes to help the children. We are also developing three apps that can not only be used for children but for others that are curios and seek knowledge and the feeling of joy. One of these apps uses concepts from Plato's academy specifically dealing with "how we learn" not what we learn. The vision is to help the way we comprehend and to make learning fun. Another app helps anyone reach their goals. And there is one that will document life's celebrations and help bring happiness and joy to the world. Your generous donation will help bring this programs to life!
Leadership Through Sports
Offering pickleball to the Boys and Girls Club of WV - exercising and having fun while learning a new sport. Created an adult and child category to promote skill learning and camaraderie.
Create Positive Role Models
Working closely with residential treatment centers and other youth organizations, we developed the "Friend for a Day" program. This program has allowed volunteers of the Xcel Foundation to meet with a selective group of children from these organizations and show those children that we care about them. In the process, we have broadened their cultural horizons and provided them with positive role models, not to mention "just getting them out of their everyday environment, for a day of fun!" Recent outings have included a day at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center for an equestrian exhibition, Disneyland, Pickleball lessons, Go-Karting, bowling, behind the scenes at I-MAX, ice skating and an evening Dodger game.
Promote Entrepreneurial Mindset
Our "Career Day" and "Entrepreneurial Workshops" have been very successful in solving the problems with children learning to write a check and reconciling their bank account.
